This takes practice. Especially if you are active on social media. The more you do it, the easier it gets. Every single day you have to make very conscious decisions about what to say or do. I often ask myself before pressing send, does this affect me?
I also consider the time consumed when offering help online. I want to help, I do help. Many people take advantage of this and of me in this way. My time is short on earth and I don't have enough of it in a 24 hr period. My direct way of speaking can sometimes ruffle feathers. It is not a rude tone, but very little bs. I don't have time. It is not intended to be taken as rude and I try hard with smiley emojis - haha!
